Start with what you’ve accomplished..
It may be a new year but that doesn’t mean you are starting from scratch, you’ve already done so much. Start by making a list of all the things you have accomplished recently.
Use positive language
As you start writing your 2020 goals and beyond, be sure to keep it positive. Instead of saying I will snack less, say I will make my snacks healthier being sure to include some fruit.
Focus on the positive
Everyday write something that made you happy, something you are proud of or grateful for. By focusing on positive aspects of your day you increase overall satisfaction and lower your stress levels.
Do something for you!
Whether it’s once a day, once a week or once a month. Do something just for you. It can be something as simple as lighting a candle and having some tea or coffee. Or planning a day trip to your favourite beach or going on a hike. Taking time for you is important for your happiness and everyone around you.
Listen to music!
Starting your day with your favourite song can significantly boost your mood. Similarly listening to motivational videos or podcasts can also help set your mood for the day.
